LTC CONVERTHER - the new LTC 2025

During the LTC Sarea Encounter, the new granted LTC has been officially announced. It is the 9th LTC integrating the network.

Its principal investigators, Iker Badiola, researcher at the Signaling Lab of the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing of the University of the Basque Country, and Abdel-Majid Khatib, research director of the Angiogenesis and Cancer Microenvironment Laboratory at the University of Bordeaux, have presented the strategic lines of the laboratory, which focuses its research on the study of a family of enzymes involved in numerous physiological and pathological processes (specifically protein maturation through proprotein convertases) and their potential application in anti-ageing and cancer therapies, reinforcing shared scientific capabilities in strategic areas for both regions.
