Newly granted postdoctoral researcher at CoMorPD LTC

New postdoctoral researcher (Basque Government grant), Teresa Sierra Arregi, will join the LTC CoMorPD this coming month of February.

She will be incorporated in Jerome Baufreton’s lab in Bordeaux where she will stay for 2 years. After that time she will stay 2 years in Cristina Miguelez Palomo’s lab in Euskadi (UPV/EHU).

Teresa will be working on the following project.: "Unravelling the non-motor side effects of deep brain stimulation in Parkinson’s disease: interaction between limbic nuclei and basal ganglia”.

The work will be focused on studying the adverse effects of the most common surgery in Parkinson's disease, deep brain stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus.
