Open Call : 2026 Cross-border Summer Courses

The Cross-Border Summer Courses seek to disseminate the knowledge generated in universities and scientific institutions; the courses are aimed at the citizens, students and academia of the cross-border area.

The fifth edition will be held in BAYONNE from 29 June to 3 July and the submission period is now open.

Submission terms & conditions:

The submissions must include at least two public or private entities of the cross-border entities, and at least two must belong to different States. Each director may only present one single submission.

As regards the course themes, they should address matters of social or scientific interest, provided that they include the cross-border perspective. Some of the suggested subject areas are architecture and urban development; culture and art; education; health; the economy; nutrition and culinary arts; science and technology; climate change and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The courses are aimed at the general public, as well as at academic, students and professionals. Special credit will be given to those submissions encouraging youth participation. The participation of PhD students, young professionals and social stakeholders should be included in the proposals to foster the engagement of young people and to embrace their areas of interests.
